Accountant Job in Bicester

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client, a well-established boutique accountancy practice on the outskirts of Bicester.

About Our Client

The practice provides professional accountancy and tax advisory services to businesses and individuals, offering a friendly working environment, flexible hybrid working arrangements, potential for progression, 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, and free onsite parking.

Job Description
  • Produce statutory accounts for clients with various business structures
  • Meet with clients to discuss their needs and provide support
  • Assist clients with tax queries
  • Add value to basic services, including management accounts, taxation, and business advice
  • Train junior staff on bookkeeping, VAT, accounts, and tax returns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good technical knowledge of accounts, VAT, and personal tax
  • Sound project management skills and experience managing a client portfolio
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with accounting software, especially Sage
  • Ability to train staff and communicate effectively within the team
  • Capacity to manage multiple deadlines across numerous clients
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this Accountant position is around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a competitive salary, supportive working environment, and opportunities for growth.
