We are seeking a highly skilled Game Optimisation Specialist to join our team at Nexere Consulting.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Optimising popular games and game engines to enhance performance and user experience.
- Developing plugins, Android Framework APIs, and demos to facilitate game development and improve performance.
- Providing technical support to game companies, offering insights into implementation and optimisation strategies.
- Conducting research to identify ways to improve game performance and quality.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in commercial game engine optimisation (Unity, Unreal, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of modern C++ programming.
- Understanding of assembly and how C++ code maps to it.
- Experience with Android development (Perfetto, ADB, Gradle, etc.).
- Extensive performance and memory optimisation experience, proficiency with profiling tools.
- Solid understanding of SIMD, cache coherency, branch prediction, Data Oriented Design, and multithreading.
- Ability and desire to travel regularly to support game companies worldwide.
Desirable Skills
The following skills are highly desirable:
- Familiarity with Java and C# programming languages.
- Experience with game development.
- Knowledge of Arm 64-bit architecture.
- Experience developing multiplayer games.
- Familiarity with Graphics APIs.
