Position Title: Senior XDR Analyst
Location: Manchester
Summary:
NCC Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Security Analyst to join our Cloud XDR Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level security analysis and support to our clients. With a strong focus on detection and response to cyber incidents, you will be working closely with our clients to understand their specific risk areas and provide tailored solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically advanced and talented team, working on cutting-edge security solutions. You will be part of a collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills, working with a team of over 30 accredited security experts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, with experience in cyber security and a passion for detection and response. You will have a solid understanding of security and networking toolsets, including Microsoft's XDR suite (Sentinel/Defender). Additionally, you will have experience in the analysis of common security incidents and a strong understanding of Windows and Linux based operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis of security alerts utilizing Microsoft XDR suite (Sentinel/Defender etc).
- Document and conform to processes related to security monitoring procedures.
- Provide assistance to XDR Security Analysts on general Triage and Threat Hunting engagements.
- Actively liaise with clients in order to understand specific risk areas and act as a touch point for issues raised.
- Practical knowledge and experience of security and networking toolsets such as Microsoft's XDR suite (Sentinel/Defender).
- Pre-existing, in-depth knowledge of common network protocols and endpoint detection/forensics.
- Pre-existing, in-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems.
- Experience in the extensive analysis of common security incidents.
- CompTIA Security+.
