Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, contracted to 15 hours per week. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be the heart of our operation, responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the dietary needs of our clients and customers.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas, ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
- Machinery and Equipment: Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the relevant authorities.
- Delivery and Supply: Assist with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles, and ensure that all goods are stored and handled safely.
- Brand Representation: Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image, adhering to our company values and standards.
- Health and Safety: Comply with Health & Safety regulations, and report any incidents or near-misses to the relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Team Player: Demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexibility: Be flexible to work shifts, including mornings and afternoons, and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Timekeeping and Reliability: Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability, and be punctual and consistent in your attendance.
- Commitment and Organization: Have a committed and organized approach, and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
