Weekend Veterinary Surgeon Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team in South London. As a Weekend Veterinary Surgeon, you will deliver top-tier clinical care during consultations and procedures, while maintaining high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.

The Opportunity

This part-time weekend role offers flexibility in your work schedule, with the option to work every weekend, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on your preference. You will be supported by an experienced team of vets, nurses, veterinary care assistants, and reception staff, ensuring a collaborative and enriching work environment.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Weekend Veterinary Surgeon, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
  • Keep clients informed with clear updates on patient care
  • Maintain high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
  • Tailor treatment plans and provide accurate cost estimates
  • Mentor and develop the team, enhancing their skills and knowledge
  • Complete clinical handovers and manage out-of-hours care when necessary
  • Share and promote clinical best practices across the team

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon with:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional care to both patients and clients
  • A team player with strong clinical leadership skills
  • Experience in cultivating a progressive clinical culture
  • Competent in nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Skilled in mentoring and coaching team members
