Teacher of Business and Accounting

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Business and Accounting to join our team at Lancaster University. As a Teacher of Business and Accounting, you will be responsible for delivering lectures, seminars, labs, and tutorials to students on the International Foundation Programme at RQF level 3 and Pre-Master's Programme at RQF level 6.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students, including lectures, seminars, labs, and tutorials.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students, including adapting materials for blended and flipped learning.
- Prepare, select, and use teaching-learning materials for international students, including electronic textbooks, in-house materials, and self-created materials.
- Assess the effectiveness of teaching skills against student progress and performance.
- Work with key stakeholders across other functional areas of INTO, including marketing, finance, and student services.
- Design and set and mark assessments for students in teaching groups, following the required procedures, both formative and summative assessment to agreed deadlines.
- Provide verbal and written feedback to students and other stakeholders, including academic managers, academic schools, marketing staff, sponsors, and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress, and produce periodic reports at the request of the Academic Manager.
- Develop reasonable rules of classroom behaviour and ensure they are consistently applied, including appropriate management of online classrooms.
- Provide academic support for international students as appropriate through consultations and tutorials, including advice on language learning, study skills, and academic expectations for University study.
About You:
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Teacher of Business and Accounting who has the appropriate academic qualifications in the field of Accountancy and/or Business Studies to Master's degree level or above. A relevant teaching qualification with relevant teaching experience at pre-degree level and/or undergraduate level is also required.
