Join Our Team as a Clinical Scientist in Chemical Pathology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Scientist to join our team in Chemical Pathology at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive and high-quality Chemical Pathology service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Proteins section of the laboratory and contribute to the department's Quality Management System.
  • Work closely with IT as a data analyst to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
  • Contribute to medical teaching and training for trainee clinical scientists and biomedical scientists.
  • Assist the Head of Department and Consultant team in providing a cost-effective and high-quality Chemical Pathology service.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Consultants, Team Leaders, Quality Leads, and Chemical Pathology operation manager and Blood Sciences manager.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry.
  • Part 1 FRCPath examination completed.
  • Significant experience of working in a busy Chemical Pathology Department.
