We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at North Manchester General Hospital, working within the Evening Service (6pm - 12am). This role offers flexibility to fit in with your busy family life, providing a perfect balance between work and personal responsibilities.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Band 5 Staff Nurse to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for patients, ensuring their needs are met while promoting clinical excellence.
You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, coordinating a seamless approach to care provision and collaborating with other professionals to ensure patient safety and quality of care align with clinical governance frameworks.
- To take responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based care for patients.
- To provide ongoing nursing care and support to patients and carers, promoting the role of the nurse and clinical excellence.
- To network with other professionals to co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary approach to care provision.
- To be responsible for multi-agency care documentation in line with current practice.
- To ensure that patients can make an informed choice about their current and future care needs, ensuring that care is patient-centered, and confidentiality is maintained in line with Trust policy.
- To provide support, guidance, and supervision to junior staff.
- To assess the level of ongoing nursing needs for people who may need long-term care.
- To liaise with the patients' GP to provide sufficient information for ongoing primary care to be provided safely and efficiently.

Your Skills and QualificationsWe require a Registered Nurse with community experience, who owns or drives a car and has worked out of hours. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary as this post falls under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
