CNC and Mechanical Engineering Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products, working closely with the engineering team to produce mechanical designs, including electronics housings, test equipment, and production jigs and fixtures.
You will utilize CAE design tools like SolidWorks to create engineering information, such as 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings. Additionally, you will maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation on projects, verifying designs using simulation, analysis, and hand calculations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in product development within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other mainstream 3D CAD packages.
- Electro-mechanical packaging and enclosure design expertise.
- Strong design calculation skills from engineering fundamentals.
- Bonus points for exposure to stress analysis (FEA).
Estimated Salary: £65,000 per annum, based on industry standards for similar roles in the UK.
