About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective running of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and manage inventory, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our stores.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work in line with our standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Meet deadlines and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
  • Process customer returns and rejections accurately and efficiently.
  • Work in line with food safety standards, ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues via radio to ensure a timely operation.
  • Perform temperature checks and logging as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Competency in PC systems and ability to learn new software.
  • Experience of using Powered Pallet Ride On Trucks/MHE is desirable.
