Graduate Building Physics Engineer

RGB Recruitment is seeking a talented Graduate Building Physics Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a leading building services consultancy, we are expanding our Building Physics Engineering department to work on prestigious projects across the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills and knowledge in building physics design and modelling. You will work closely with our experienced engineers, assisting with design calculations, energy assessments, and thermal modelling simulations. You will also produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for commercial developments and attend client design team meetings.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline, with a strong understanding of energy assessment software such as IES. You should also be fully IT literate and have excellent interpersonal skills. We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000, plus benefits such as days holiday and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of design calculations and supporting the administration of projects.
  2. Energy assessment of buildings using software packages (IES software).
  3. Thermal 3D model simulations to meet client and design requirements.
  4. Produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for commercial developments.
  5. Attending client design team meetings and occasional travel to other offices.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree 2:1 or possess necessary qualifications or higher education in a related discipline.
  2. Be familiar with energy assessment software such as IES.
  3. Be fully IT literate and preferably demonstrate relevant experience with design and modelling software.
  4. Good in written and spoken English and have excellent interpersonal skills.
