HSEQ & Training Professional Job Description

Nova Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSEQ & Training Professional to join our team.

About the Role:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading smart meter installer in Manchester, responsible for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality responsibilities.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the gas and electric metering industry, with IQA & IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation.
  • A good understanding of regulatory requirements for training centres is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain effective Health & Safety management systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives and policy.
  2. Construct and deliver engaging training courses, aligned with industry standards and company policies.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
  4. Investigate accidents/incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Maintain accurate records of RIDDOR incidents, ensuring timely reporting to HSE.
  6. Manage qualifications and authorisations for operatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  7. Coordinate operative journeys from start to finish, including hotel and transport arrangements.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Health & Safety, Environmental Management).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the gas and electric metering industry.
  • IQA & IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation.

Salary & Benefits:

  • An attractive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
