Siemen's first UK-based Rail Industry Hub in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire, is creating a new opportunity for skilled professionals. The initial contract involves assembling nearly 50 trains for the London Underground's Piccadilly line, and up to 300 colleagues will be recruited to work in the manufacturing facility.
This number of trains is expected to increase in the future, along with expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities, demonstrating Siemens' long-term commitment to growth in employment and career opportunities.
As a logistics professional looking to make an impact, you have the chance to join our dynamic Logistics team in Goole. In this role, you will coordinate operational procurement and supply chain activities to ensure optimal material availability for our production line.

- Monitoring and managing the materials supply chain by analyzing data to identify potential risks to production flow, mitigating or escalating as necessary.
- Providing support to the Purchasing team in resolving order fulfillment issues.
- Working closely with the wider logistics and procurement teams to maintain awareness of external impacts and production demand concerns, finding solutions to benefit all.
Your success will depend on your ability to:
- Understand cross-border procurement activities at the operational level, recognizing the broader implications on the materials supply chain that could prevent timely deliveries.
- Excel at problem-solving, able to navigate complex supply chain topics with exceptional communication skills.
- Demonstrate expertise in Excel, comfortable producing and analyzing large datasets.
A competitive salary is available for this position, estimated to be around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum based on location and experience.
