Our Service & Workshop team at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre is seeking an HGV technician to join our team. As an HGV technician, you will be responsible for ensuring repairs are carried out according to Volvo's Standards. You will also be working on a range of systems including alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid, and Full electric vehicles.

Don't worry if you don't have experience with these alternative systems. We provide a training path for our new employees, starting with an induction at the depot, followed by foundations events, and a number of courses both online and in-person to develop your skills and support you in your new role. You can train to Master Technician and receive an IMI Level 4 qualification.

Requirements

  • City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification is required
  • You'll also have completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry, or have equivalent experience, along with relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • A basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred, as is a general level of computer literacy.
  • we'd expect you to have a basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
