Sustainability Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Manager to join our client's team in a multinational company that provides technology and supply chain solutions for industrial and construction markets.
BASIC SALARY: £46,000 - £54,000
BENEFITS:
- Management Incentive Plan Bonus/Commission worth up to 10% of basic salary.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sustainability Manager
The successful candidate will have experience of, and success in, a similar Sustainability Manager or Officer role, ideally in an industrial, construction, or technical environment, but open to experience from other areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop strategies for organisational environmental performance, including reducing carbon emissions, energy consumption, and waste by collaborating across various departments.
- Promote social responsibility within the organisation by working with Operations, Sales, Category Management, and Inventory Management to support diversity and ethical practices within the supply chain and engage in community engagement programs or philanthropic activities.
- Develop longer-term strategies for 'Sustainability' footprint/processes/tools that could be offered to clients as an additional 'value-added service,' ultimately bringing commercial benefit to the business.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sustainability Manager
You will have:
- At least 3+ years experience in the field of 'Business Sustainability.'
- A willingness to travel if required (Domestic/International).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while being flexible, adaptable, and responsive to shifting priorities and tight deadlines.

They have 650 personnel in the UK with a large and structured sales function of 230. Through their unmatched global distribution network, along with their supply chain and technical expertise, they help lower the cost, risk, and complexity of their customers' supply chains.
