Location: Reading

Salary: £200 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Right Contract Services. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out a combination of planned and reactive handyman maintenance tasks to maintain all building services systems in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure all building services systems are in good working order
  • Conduct emergency light testing and undertake first-line maintenance of fixtures and fittings
  • Construct, repair, restore, and install structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, and furniture
  • Undertake handyman duties as directed, including painting and decorating, plumbing, and un-blocking sinks, traps, and waste pipes
  • Accurately record all works carried out and completed, and identify any remedial works to be undertaken
  • Order materials and services using our ordering system and update records and job sheets to certify satisfactory delivery/completion

Requirements:

  • Holds relevant and current fabric qualifications, i.e., Joiner, Carpenter, Painter and Decorator, or General Building skills
  • Level II qualification in carpentry/joinery or a recognised apprenticeship desirable
  • 3 years' carpentry experience
  • Full UK driving license
