Careers Guidance Specialist
Academics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Careers Guidance Specialist to join our team. As a specialist teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and associated communication and trauma needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embed the Gatsby Good Careers Benchmarks into the school, ensuring all students are prepared for the next stage in their education, employment, or training.
- Work with The Careers and Enterprise Company to track and review the school's progress towards the Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Lead the school's careers programme, ensuring student encounters with a broad range of local employers and employees.
- Report termly and annually to Governors on the school's progress towards the eight Gatsby benchmarks of good careers provision.
Requirements:
- The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
- GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Career guidance Qualification recognised, with the CDI being desirable but not essential.
- Team TEACH Training desirable.
Competitive Pay:
£90-£110 per day.
