Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Class 1 vehicle to make deliveries and pickups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Class 1 vehicles to make 3-5 trunk runs a day
  • Curtain sider work
  • Make on-time deliveries
  • Communicate with the transport team
  • Follow Company policies and procedures
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations
  • Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
  • Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience driving CE vehicles
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
  • Work in a professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills
Benefits:

Rates of pay: £16.25 per hour basic, £20.31 per hour overtime after 48 hours.

Training: You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day paid company training programme.
