Maritime Safety Engineering Lead

RINA Defence Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Maritime Safety Engineering Lead to join our specialist team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to develop and shape RINA's Safety capability, providing world-class safety advisory services to the Royal Navy.
The successful candidate will lead various Maritime Safety Engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality results. Key responsibilities include managing projects individually or as part of a small team, supporting bids and proposals, promoting RINA's Safety capability, and assisting with augmenting safety capability to meet emerging market demands.
Requirements for this role include at least ten years' experience in applying safety engineering management solutions in high-hazard environments, knowledge of UK MOD maritime/naval platforms, and experience with Hazard & Safety Risk Analysis, Independent Safety Assurance, and safety case development. Proficiency in using Safety Engineering tools such as Reliability Workbench, ASCE, BowTie, ETA, or FTA is also essential. Additionally, some working knowledge of Defence Standard 00-56 and regulations, including DSA02-DMR, and an understanding of UK MOD frameworks (i.e. Aurora) are required.
