Production Engineer Role

Galaxy Personnel is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their workshop-based team. This pivotal position involves maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department and collaborating with the Department Head to optimize processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department
  • Investigate and suggest process improvements and cost reductions
  • Assist in training new staff and progression training of existing staff
  • Diagnose faults and repair Lathe Machines and associated Equipment
  • Complete and update tasks using a Maintenance-based software
  • Provide assistance to Service Engineers as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in using a range of toolroom/workshop-based machinery
  • Familiarity with CNC-based Machines and 5-10 years' experience in a production environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose faults
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and strong communication skills
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, CNC, Process improvements, CI
  • Own transport

This is a permanent position with a salary between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum plus shift incentive. The company values employee progression and looks for applicants who want to further themselves in the workplace.
