FPGA Architecture Specialist

Enable Technology, a venture-backed quantum hardware start-up, is looking for an FPGA Architecture Specialist to bolster their product engineering capability. Based in Oxford, this role offers a hybrid working policy with flexibility where necessary.

As an FPGA Architecture Specialist, you will design and implement FPGA systems for various applications related to cyber security and computing, including communication, HPC, simulations, and automotive systems. You will work closely with the software and hardware teams to ensure high-level FPGA architecture and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure functional compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or relevant education in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, along with proven FPGA expertise, SoC architecture experience, and knowledge of signal processing, algorithm design, and optimization. Skilled in VHDL, Verilog, or similar hardware description languages, with expertise in design and verification using tools like Xilinx, System Verilog, and UVM. Familiarity with embedded software development using C/C++ and proficiency in simulation tooling using ModelSim or QuestaSim is also required.

This is a competitive salary position, with a base salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include flexible working, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a healthy pension scheme, potential share options, and opportunities for internal progression.
