We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Aero Performance Software and Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will work closely with the data science and software engineering teams to ensure that best processes are included in all aero performance related projects.

You will be responsible for improving methods and tools of the Aero Performance Group, working with Aero Performance Group colleagues to improve the performance, usability and efficiency of existing tools, models and algorithms.

Additionally, you will innovate to advance the group's capabilities to utilise state-of-the-art modelling of complex multi-dimensional data sources.

Aero Performance Analysis

You will work with the development aerodynamics groups to ensure a strong knowledge of the aerodynamic behaviour of the race car is well understood by the aero performance group and trackside engineering groups.

You will provide in-event support to the Race Team from the operation room.

Professionalism

You will be able to maintain and develop good relationships with other groups within the Aerodynamics Department, Vehicle Performance and Technology groups.

You will provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.

You will work in a professional manner at all times, regardless of the task set, and be proactive in promoting a positive image for the department/team/sponsors.

Qualifications

A university level qualification in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering (MEng, MSc or PhD) or similar.

Previous experience in a similar role in Industry and/or Academia.

Demonstrated interest in performance optimisation of algorithms, linear or non-linear solvers and parallel computing.

Expertise with at least one general-purpose programming language (C++, MATLAB, Python).

Strong understanding of numerical analysis, computational methods, software engineering practices, algorithms and software design.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team.

Fluency in English.
