HGV Class 2 Driver

A&G Resourcing Ltd is seeking skilled HGV Class 2 drivers for a prestigious client based in the Reading area. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, who are willing to load and unload furniture at collection and delivery points, and take on additional tasks as needed.

The primary focus of this role is commercial relocations with corporate clients, involving the movement of office furniture. Ongoing work is available, with a guaranteed 8-hour shift per day, Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability. Early start times are required, with a competitive hourly rate of £16, increasing to £20 for overtime and weekends.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid HGV Licence and full CPC
  • A digital tachograph card
  • Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations
  • An enthusiastic and driven individual
  • Physical fitness, due to the nature of the job
  • No more than 6 points on your driving licence, due to insurance requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience, due to insurance requirements

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily vehicle checks and reporting of defects
  • Following Health & Safety regulations
  • Performing duties in a safe manner
  • Using equipment provided in accordance with safe working practices
  • Loading and unloading
  • Assisting a team of porters on jobs
