HGV 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV 1 driver to join our team at Forte Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods via various routes, meeting multiple customers, and manually loading and unloading from your vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a HGV 1 (CAT CE) vehicle to deliver goods
  • Meet multiple customers
  • Manually load and unload from your vehicle
  • Check and confirm delivery accuracy against PDA/paperwork
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid HGV 1 (CAT CE) license
  • Hold a valid CPC & Digi-card
  • Possess a good level of driving experience
  • Enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service
  • Have a positive, professional, and flexible approach
  • Physically fit and mobile

We offer a competitive pay rate, with £17.00 per hour guaranteed for 8 hours a day, and overtime rates of £25.50 per hour Monday to Friday and Saturday, and £34.00 per hour on Sunday. Start times are between 2am and 5am.
