About the Role

We are recruiting for a Geriatric Medicine Fellow to join our team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced healthcare professional to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Geriatricians, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacy Technicians, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Trainee ACP and REACT Community Assessors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking patient assessments for Frail & Older patients attending the emergency department and providing same-day emergency care.

Requirements
  • Experience of an NHS or equivalent training programme, such as Foundation Programme.
  • Ability to take responsibility for the same day emergency care of patients.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS or comparable health service in a medical capacity.
