The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine product quality checks of HPLC columns and in-house manufactured separation media, ensuring finished products meet required specifications.

This full-time position is based out of our Hichrom, Theale/Reading site.

The Team:

The Quality Control Technician is part of a team of 6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality checks and investigations as needed
  • Perform analytical QC performance tests to ensure lot-to-lot reproducibility
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and incidents are reported promptly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals
  • Participate in process improvements and maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous quality control experience (lab or food related)
  • Good understanding of COSHH and ISO9001/14001
  • Working knowledge of chromatography desired but not essential
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
