Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to the team, working directly with young people and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.

You will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, and participate in the on-call rota with a frequency of 1:14, with a 3% on-call supplement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families
  • Liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota
Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
