About the Role

Copello is seeking an experienced Cost Estimating Manager to join our team in Barrow-In-Furness. As a key member of our estimating organisation, you will play a crucial role in creating opportunities for learning and improvement across programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of estimators to generate base cost and provision estimates, supported by relevant basis of estimate documentation.
  • Create standardised approaches to estimating and work with programme leadership teams to determine estimating maturity plans and make prioritisation decisions.
  • Engage with external customers through pricing and maturity assessment work, providing guidance and direction to team members.
Requirements
  • Estimating experience in a leadership role within the defence industry.
  • Previous experience in leading a team through complex projects.
  • Experience in managing multiple customers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement.
  • Operations experience is a must.
  • Educated to at least degree level and/or equivalent experience.
