Assistant Financial Accountant (VAT) Role

AD Finance is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant (VAT) to support the Tax Manager in delivering accurate and compliant taxation filings, with a focus on Indirect Taxes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clean and accurate data to external service providers on a timely basis, resolving any queries to ensure on-time and compliant returns.
  • Ensure timely payment of taxes to tax authorities.
  • Manage banking procedures and internal approvals processes.
  • Support the timely implementation of existing and new legislation.
  • Maintain technical skills and knowledge through completion of Accounting or Tax qualification and evidenced CPD.
  • Prepare tax returns for review by Line Manager in line with local regulations.
  • Maintain procedures and manuals related to tax returns.
  • Ensure accurate documentation supports all tax return submissions.
  • Reconcile General Ledger tax accounts for span of control each month.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in indirect Taxation, gained in Practice or Industry.
  • Experience dealing with tax in a multinational business environment.
  • Intermediate data analysis skills in Excel.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Double entry knowledge.
Education:
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or ATT.
