About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Housekeeper to join our dynamic team at Middlefields House, a state-of-the-art care home in Chippenham, Wiltshire. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our residents' rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness of client rooms and common areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and tidiness.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the home, including laundry and linen stores.
  • Liaise with the Manager to ensure cleaning schedules and stock control are maintained.
  • Fold and distribute residents' clothing, and store linen and household items safely.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment.
  • Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately.
  • Maintain records as required by your manager.
  • Attend meetings and training activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time.
Requirements
  • You will need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have empathy with them.
  • You will need to be able to operate laundry equipment safely and reliably.
  • You will need to be able to work as part of a team to provide an excellent service to our residents.
  • You will need to be a well-organized, practical, and adaptable person.
