About the Role

The Actuary Group is seeking a highly skilled Pension Risk Transfer Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Transfer team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing sophisticated actuarial solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement actuarial models to analyze and optimize pension scheme benefits.
  • Conduct complex actuarial calculations and research market trends to inform client advice.
  • Manage day-to-day project work, taking ownership of work streams and adding value through insightful analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for the client to improve their proposition, processes, and client delivery.
  • Represent the client in meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing informed views on current topics and trends.
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to identify and develop revenue-generating opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified to senior actuary level.
  • Experience working with DB pension schemes, either at a consultancy or an insurer.
  • Strong technical actuarial fundamentals and business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally.
  • Strong client focus, with the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with experience of actuarial/modelling tools desirable.
