About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a large multi-functional team, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, including other leaders, to achieve business objectives and targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and capability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a positive, mutually beneficial relationship with key stakeholders and third-party logistics teams.
- Implement an action-oriented and continuous improvement approach to working, promoting an inclusive culture and high levels of trust among team members.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to empower and trust team members to deliver results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, preferably in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
