We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Ecologist to join our team and support our arboriculture division.

Role Description:

As an Ecologist, you'll play a key role in conducting ecological surveys, producing reports, and providing ecological advice to our clients. You'll work on various projects across Wales and England, focusing on environmental impact assessments, habitat management plans, and protected species surveys.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting ecological surveys and assessments in accordance with relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practice standards.
  • Producing high-quality ecological reports, including impact assessments, mitigation strategies, and habitat management plans.
  • Providing ecological advice and support to clients, including liaising with statutory bodies, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
  • Undertaking research and keeping up to date with developments in ecological science and legislation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience or an exceptional graduate with significant voluntary experience.
  • A degree in a relevant subject (ecology).
  • Ideal qualifications include a Bat License, GCN, or Door mouse License.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Proven experience in watching briefs.
  • A strong understanding of UK and EU wildlife legislation and policy.
