About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Psychological Professions team as the Director of Psychological Professions. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of our services and ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver high-quality psychological services to patients across North East London, Essex, and Kent.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for Psychological Professions that aligns with the Trust's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure that Psychological Professions are integrated into all aspects of our services.
  • Provide professional leadership and guidance to staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.
  • Work closely with operational colleagues to promote governance and development of services, ensuring that the latest research innovations, national policy, and efficient delivery are integrated into our services.
  • Develop and implement a recruitment and retention strategy to attract and retain top talent in Psychological Professions.
  • Embed an overall clinical strategic vision for Psychological Professions across NELFT, supporting the delivery of innovative and effective services and facilitating clinical and service improvements.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D Clin Psy) or equivalent.
  • Leadership qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in delivering transformation and change in pathways (desirable).
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage difficulties within teams.
