Workshop Engineer Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our range of machinery, ensuring they are in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment to resolve customer reports
  • Perform general engineering duties, including working at height, beneath, and within plant machines
  • Repair and maintain machines using lifting equipment supplied
  • Drive and move machines inside and outside the workshop
  • Servicing of a wide variety of machines within the workshop
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervise other workshop engineers, when required, to ensure a high quality of work and safe working practices

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work at height and in confined spaces
  • Valid lifting equipment certification
