Facilities Maintenance Associate Job Description

We are seeking an organized Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at Educators Wales in Rogiet Primary School.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the school building is maintained to a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as washing floors and walls, sweeping, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting.
  • Ensure that sanitary areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners and polishing/scrubbing machines safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials.
  • Report any faults of cleaning equipment to the supervisor promptly.
  • Use chemicals correctly at all times.
  • Work as part of a team within Monmouthshire's Facilities Unit at various sites.
  • Undertake necessary training to enhance job skills.
  • Familiarize yourself with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Acknowledge the principles of equal opportunity.
