About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Manufacturing Team Leader to join our team at Yourgene Health. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacture of our product kits and components in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule laboratory activities to ensure efficient production and meet business and customer needs.
  • Execute the manufacturing plan according to scheduled plan and following standard operating procedures.
  • Input Works Orders and other required processes into the internal system.
  • Ensure supply of products on time, cost efficiently, and to the required regulatory standards and product specifications.
  • Contribute to process improvement programs and troubleshooting through the performance of non-routine operations and reporting of data.
  • Operate and maintain essential equipment to a high standard to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and recommendations governing safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Dispense liquids using semi-automated equipment.
  • Liaise with the Quality Department to ensure correct documentation and SOPs are created and in place, and to report non-conformances to ensure continual improvement.
  • Comply with all health and safety and COSHH systems.
Requirements
  • HND/degree in an appropriate biological science.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a manual/semi-automated assembly environment.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with good practices for working in a clean and air-conditioned setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn to work with new equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing manufacturing and quality control processes.
  • Experience with ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.
