Bury has a great blend of town and countryside, with award-winning parks and vibrant urban areas. The role involves accelerating the delivery of housing on brownfield land across the district, developing relationships with developers and contractors, and working closely with local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading relationships with developers, contractors, and registered providers, as well as local authority experience in working with land, property, legal, procurement, finance, and planning.

The successful candidate will be experienced in delivering brownfield sites, ensuring appropriate residential development on Council-owned sites, and influencing and facilitating growth to meet housing need and delivery of the LET's Strategy.

About the role:

  • Accelerate the delivery of housing on brownfield land across the district of Bury
  • Develop relationships with developers, contractors, and registered providers
  • Work closely with local authorities to ensure strategic and joined-up approach to housing delivery

About you:

  • Ability to work at pace and take responsibility for your own work area
  • Experience in leading relationships with developers, contractors, and registered providers
  • Local authority experience in working with land, property, legal, procurement, finance, and planning
