Heavy Plant Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team at KDM Hire Ltd. As a Heavy Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of heavy plant machinery on-site and in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough maintenance and repairs on heavy plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the equipment.
  • Provide technical support to customers, offering guidance on optimal equipment usage and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and service history.
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our company.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the repair of plant and equipment.
  • Good all-round mechanical skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of electrics, electronics, and hydraulics.
  • Good customer service skills and a valid driving license.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5pm & Friday 7.30am - 4pm plus Saturdays on a rotational basis from 7.45am - 12.30pm

Salary: £33,000 + DOE
