Job Title: Shift Leader

As a Shift Leader at Tesco Partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community
  • Opening and closing the store, ensuring all decisions are right for customers, colleagues, and safety
  • Supporting the Store Manager in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented store
  • Prioritizing the replenishment of products that matter to our customers
  • Proactively managing queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers
  • Being knowledgeable about the store and coordinating others to deliver practical actions to improve operations
  • Resolving colleague queries and escalating issues to the Store Manager when necessary
  • Ensuring the store is staffed appropriately and reacting to short-term absences/sickness
  • Monitoring and acting on internal communications to keep colleagues informed
