Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical projects, ensuring timely submission and meeting client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Participate in project handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the M&E contracting industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
