About the Role

As a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for a wide range of engineering duties on substation plant and equipment. This will include installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of existing equipment, fault investigation and repair, and routine condition monitoring. You will benefit from industry-leading training at our facilities in Eakring, Nottinghamshire, and other substation sites.

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 2/3 recognized apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, or an NVQ/Level 3 electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant fitting experience
  • Good all-round engineering skills, including working to safety procedures, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, working at height, lifting operations, panel wiring, and fault finding
  • A full UK driving license
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Residency within a 30-minute commute of Carrington, Manchester M31, or Macclesfield SK10

  • Electrical biased engineer
  • IOSH certification
