We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced teaching assistant to support the development of academic skills in our students on the BSc Psychology programme.

Your main responsibility will be to prepare and deliver seminars, teach and mark assessments for the Academic Skills for Psychology module at level 4.

You will work closely with the teaching team to ensure that students receive high-quality tuition and support to enable them to succeed in their studies.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your teaching skills and contribute to the academic development of our students.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of academic skills and experience of teaching or tutoring in a higher education setting.

You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.

A first degree in Psychology or a related subject is essential, as well as advanced statistical knowledge and proficiency in SPSS.

As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our programmes and contributing to the academic success of our students.

The position offers a competitive salary of £15 per hour, working 3 hours per week, Monday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. This is a fixed-term appointment for 11 weeks, starting on October 9th 2023, and we anticipate the contract ending on January 1st 2024.
