Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Engineer to join their team at CMD Recruitment. As a key member of the operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal efficiency and uptime of their automated production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on automated production machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance routines to minimize equipment failures.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults, utilizing three-phase control systems and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
  • Undertake small installation projects to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Optimize machine efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the operations team in achieving production targets and contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

Requirements:

  • Hold an engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience working in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a strong background in fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Excellent electrical fault-finding skills, particularly with PLCs, drives, and inverters.
  • Strong understanding of engineering diagrams, HV/LV switchgear, and electrical drivers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Full clean driving license and access to a car is essential for this role.

Working Conditions:

  • Rotating weekly shift pattern, including weekends.
  • Weekend standby 1-4, paid extra.
