We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Administrative Professional to join our team at East Lothian Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide technical, specialist or advanced administrative support to the Council Management Team (CMT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To supervise staff responsible for the delivery of business support functions to the Executive Support Team.
  • To maximise efficiency of service delivery, develop standards and new ways of working to support best value.
  • To work with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and initiative whilst carrying out advanced administrative tasks, often involving the use of IT-based skills.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for a qualified Senior PA Administrator looking to take their career to the next level. You will have the opportunity to oversee the PA support tasks to CMT and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the PA hub.

The successful candidate will have a relevant HNC or SVQ Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience. They will also have evidence of a commitment to continual professional development.

Benefits:

  • An hourly rate of pay: £18.91
  • Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.
  • Home Working Consideration: Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies.
