Quantity Surveyor


Location: Hybrid with site travel.


Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus package including:

An independent rail consultancy is looking to take on a Quantity Surveyor to join their team, reporting to the Head of Commercial. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects within the rail sector from inception to completion.


Key Responsibilities:


- Provide quantity surveying assistance to delivery teams


- Cost management, ensuring that the project remains within budget


- Provide advice on contracts


- Liaise with architects and engineers on the cost implications and provide alternative choices of materials to allow for flexible budgets


- Prepare tendering documents


- Provide Contract Administration services


Requirements:


- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role in the rail sector


- Rail / Civils infrastructure experience


- A HND/Degree qualification in quantity surveying or relevant commercial discipline


- Ideally working towards or hold membership of an appropriate recognised professional institution
