Our Hospice provides specialist care and support to individuals with life-limiting and progressive illnesses, as well as their families and carers.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Locum Specialty Doctor to join our medical team until the end of July 2025. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced professionals, including Consultants, Specialty Doctors, and a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality palliative care to patients, families, and carers across various care settings.
  • Deliver holistic care to patients with complex palliative care needs, including non-cancer conditions and neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Hospice's multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience in palliative medicine is desirable, but not essential. We offer tailored support and education to ensure the successful candidate excels in their role.

About the Hospice

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a modern Specialist Palliative Care Unit, providing inpatient facilities for 14 patients, as well as Community Palliative Care Services, Day Hospice, and Outpatient Clinics. We have strong links with local Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Teams and an established Education Department.
