Job Summary

This role is responsible for facilitating the successful execution of Agile methodologies within our innovative product and project teams, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.

The Scrum Master will work closely with various stakeholders to drive project deliverables, track progress, and identify and resolve impediments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies - Organize daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and review meetings.
  • Project Coordination and Analysis - Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking. Analyze project data to identify trends and inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and own the implementation of them.
  • Impediment Removal - Proactively identify and address obstacles that hinder team performance, working with relevant parties to find effective and practical solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement - Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Agile process within the organization. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices among team members.
  • Reporting and Documentation - Maintain accurate records of project metrics and generate reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Gather Requirements - Ensure high-level requirements are gathered and recorded in suitable tools.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software, specifically GitHub, Issue Tracking Software.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights for process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in a software development environment.
  • Adaptability and desire to learn.
Desirable Skills
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is welcomed.
  • Knowledge of other Agile frameworks like Kanban or Lean.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Work Environment
  • This role may require flexibility in hours and potentially some remote work.
  • Expected 3-5 days per week in Leeds office.
