The role of Senior Lending Product Manager is a key part of our product Organisation, ensuring we can provide the right products for the right clients at the right time. You will work with the daily end-to-end management of all Lending Products across HSBC Innovation Banking UK, giving you full exposure to several sub-products including Term Loans, Revolving lines of credit, and Receivables Finance.

This hands-on, delivery-focused role reports directly into the Head of Lending Product Management and will help drive product development, maintenance, and commercialisation from day one. You will also be instrumental in improving client experience and shaping key strategic priorities for the lending product by working closely with internal partners and our clients.

As a Senior Lending Product Manager, your responsibilities will include acting as Lending Product SME internally, supporting internal stakeholders, Relationship Teams, Legal, Compliance, Credit, and Risk. You will manage existing products within the Innovation Banking UK inventory, commercialising available products, features, or capabilities already available through the wider HSBC Group, implementing a distributor model.

You will lead on Lending Product Governance activities, including regular in-depth product review processes, graduation, or withdrawal of pilot products. Additionally, you will maintain the product development roadmap for future enhancements to the product set, developing business cases to secure investment to deliver the strategic agenda.

In this role, you will use data to create insightful MI support the flow of information into monitor pricing and profitability through to relevant Committees and Forums, available MI tools, including pricing exception reviews. You will identify the need for potential product enhancements through deep understanding of client and business needs.

You will contribute to managing the product risk and control framework, including Product Approval Programs, stress testing, conduct risk reviews, etc. Continuously monitoring the industry and environment to ensure HSBC Innovation Banking UK keeps pace with competitor offerings and evolves with regulatory and market changes.

We are looking for a current experience of lending product management, gained through product management, implementations, coverage/origination, etc. Knowledge of Commercial/SME lending products is preferred but suitability may extend to consumer/retail lending products.

Previous or existing 'Product Owner' experience within a Lending, Agile delivery team is essential. Exceptional interpersonal and communications/presentation skills with a senior presence and ability to operate at all management levels are required.

A strong generalist knowledge and experience across multiple products, spanning front-end channels, middle, and back-office systems are necessary. Proven successful track record of new product development and solid understanding of product lifecycle methodology and governance are required.

Ability to build networks and relationships internally and externally, and experience of working within virtual and matrix reporting environments are essential. Ability to perform under pressure, prioritise effectively, appreciating and adapting to a fast-moving business environment are required.

A strong numerical education, or analytical background, intellectual curiosity, and ability to think conceptually are desirable.
