Job Title: Sonography Clinical Tutor

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sonographer to join our dynamic Radiology Team as an Ultrasound Clinical Tutor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating the practical aspects of university courses within the department, as well as coordinating and delivering specialist clinical training and education to sonographers, midwife ultrasound practitioners, and ultrasound trainees.

About the Role

As an Ultrasound Clinical Tutor, you will work closely with the sonography team, senior colleagues, and radiologists across the Trust to develop and maximize training and education within the ultrasound service. You will ensure a patient-focused, safe, effective, and efficient service that meets the current and future needs of the Trust and population it serves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and coordinate the practical aspects of university courses within the department
  • Coordinate and deliver specialist clinical training and education to sonographers, midwife ultrasound practitioners, and ultrasound trainees
  • Work closely with the sonography team, senior colleagues, and radiologists across the Trust to develop and maximize training and education within the ultrasound service
  • Ensure a patient-focused, safe, effective, and efficient service that meets the current and future needs of the Trust and population it serves
Requirements
  • BSc or DCR Diagnostic Radiography / BSc in Midwifery / relevant undergraduate equivalent
  • PgC / PgD in Medical Ultrasound (CASE accredited)
  • Registered with HCPC / NMC (or equivalent)
  • FMF Certification in Nuchal Translucency scanning
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications MSc
  • Additional modular qualifications MSK, Elastography, HyCoSy, neonatal hips
  • Involvement with training sonographers and university processes
